What we do
We represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ Courts and Crown Courts throughout Huntingdon, Cambridge, Peterborough and the whole of the Eastern Region and the crime team will be happy to assist clients, both old and new, in relation to matters from the initial arrest to an appeal at the higher courts.
Police Station Attendances
Finding yourself under arrest is often a frightening and daunting experience. Legal advice from our team of experienced, dedicated and approachable solicitors will help guide you through every step at the police station.
We have someone on call and available to attend the police station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. We also have 3 Duty Solicitors on the Huntingdon Duty Solicitor.
Please contact us as soon as you have been stopped by the police, when you receive a Section 172 Notice (requirement to provide driver details) or when you receive a summons. Potter Shelley & Co will be happy to assist and advise on the availability of Legal Aid, and where not eligible provide a fixed fee so you will be clear on the cost.
We are able to provide advocates for all levels of court hearings from the less serious matters at the Magistrates Court to the most serious matters which can only be heard at the Crown Court or any higher Courts of Appeal.
As a firm, we have members of our team appearing in court on a daily basis and we have successfully defended client accused of the most serious offences and the most trivial.
We provide our expert services to both Legal Aid and Private Clients. If you would like to discuss your eligibility for legal aid then one of our solicitors would be happy to help. Potter Shelley & Co provide a fixed fee service at highly competitive rates for clients who do not qualify for legal aid.
